I've Moved to a New Blog!

Please visit me at my new blog, At the Edge of the Ordinary!  Just like Say the Trees Have Ears, At the Edge of the Ordinary is rooted in nature, nature spirituality, and creativity, but with a broader focus that embraces individuals of all faiths and paths:

"You do not need to go out into the wilderness to experience nature. You do not need to go far from home. Nature is here: in the sky, in the air, in the vacant lots, in the cracks in the sidewalk, at the edge of the ordinary. Learn to look beyond what other people tell you is important. Learn to look past the screen, past the page, past the light and the action. Learn to look for the small details that most people ignore. What you will discover is a world of depth and meaning and everyday wonder. A world peopled by plants and animals and fungi and slime moulds and mountains and rivers and stars and atoms and galaxies. A world in which to be human is to be both very small and also very large."

Visit the site to read more, and make sure to update your feed subscriptions, bookmarks, and links to At the Edge of the Ordinary.

I will be leaving this site up for the time being in hopes that the posts here may continue to inspire and encourage any who happen across them.  If you are a new visitor, feel free to explore the archives, and if you enjoy what you read here, please visit my new site.

To my readers and commenters, thank you once again for the years of support and I look forward to seeing you over at my new site!

"Say the trees have ears," she said, speaking to Junie but also seeming to implore the books around her, the table and chairs, the air itself. "Say they have heard all the murmurs down the centuries that we have missed, or thought we heard, but misheard. Say the trees have ears, and not only ears but voices too. They might have heard things spoken under their boughs a hundred years ago, or in another place and time, words of love or passion or hate or pain. They might be able to tell those words to us, make the old times real for us, make them come again in the telling. Say the trees have ears, Juniper Tree. Do you? Are you listening?"
